Fashion Garments Limited (FGL) is a subsidiary of The Hirdaramani Group of companies in Sri Lanka. FGL was established in 1994 and is now manufacturing a wide range of casualwear, sportswear and intimate apparel for export to global fashion brands and retailers based in Europe and the USA. Starting with a single factory in South Vietnam, the group has now grown to five manufacturing facilities and a total workforce of 8500 employees. FGL’s in-house capabilities include design, development, sewing, embroidery, bonding and printing of garments.
Under its “GREEN” expansion plan, FGL factory 2 which is located in the Bien Hoa Industrial Zone was upgraded. These upgrades make the facility more energy and water efficient while reducing the overall carbon footprint and fulfilling the company goal of sustainable manufacturing. The management of FGL has obtained “LEED” (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) certification for the renovation project from the Green Building Council of the United States (USGBC)
